The spread is the difference between the bid and offer prices. If, for example, a FTSE share is bet on using City Index and a sell bet is available at 200p, the buy bet would be priced at 201p as the spread is quoted as 1 point. So if you bought at 201p then to close the bet at break-even you would need to sell at 201p so the underlying share price has to increase by 1 point. Try to avoid big spreads as the underlying price has to move further in the direction of your bet before a profit is made.
Small allowable minimum bet sizes are useful if you are trading using a small account size and wish to minimise your risk.

The minimum bet sizes on futures based bets will generally be the same as for Daily Bets. The major difference will be on the spread sizes.
The advantage of using futures based bets though is that they don't attract daily financing charges. So if you intend to keep a bet open for a short period of time then the daily bet is the better approach.
